Overview

Children\’s Support Worker (Maternity Cover) (Driver) – ARC HD Services Ltd, part of Community Integrated Care. Specialist care provider delivering residential care and 1:1 support for young people aged 9-18 with significant social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and trauma-related behavioural challenges. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract at Woodside, supporting the next generation of stars to live the best life possible.

About The Home

Woodside is a calm, homely, and therapeutic bungalow supporting up to three young people aged 9-18. Each young person has private bedroom and bathroom, with a large communal lounge and dining area, a back garden with a summer house, and access to rustic walks and nature.

About The Role

  • You’ll work 1:1 with young people during each shift.
  • Shifts range from 9 to 15 hours, with flexible breakdowns based on the young person’s needs.
  • Sleep-in duties are part of the role.
  • You’ll receive specialist training in attachment theories, trauma-informed practice, and other relevant areas.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full driving license (manual)
  • Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check
  • Previous experience desirable but not essential; training and support available

Notes

  • ARC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share that commitment.
  • Salary and detailed working pattern: typical week is 39 hours plus one sleeping-in duty, usually 2 x 15 hour days and 1 x 9 hour day, with one in three weekends off.
  • Location: Woodside, Winchester area; other notices reference to various locations and roles.
