Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker looking for a new and rewarding challenge?

At Community Integrated Care, we offer more than just a job—we offer a career with purpose. As one of the UK’s largest and most respected social care charities, we’re proud to reinvest every penny of our profits into our people, services, and communities.

This opportunity is based in the beautiful countryside of South Chailey, where you’ll be part of a passionate and skilled team supporting people with complex needs. Due to the rural location and the need to drive the service’s specially adapted vehicle, a full UK manual driving licence held for at least one year is essential.

We Offer

  • ÂŁ14.42 per hour
  • No uniform – wear your own casual clothes
  • Paid DBS application
  • Shopping discounts and a free Blue Light Card
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression
  • Recommend a Friend bonus scheme
  • Financial hardship fund
  • Wellbeing support and resources
  • A workplace that champions inclusivity, diversity, and belonging

We’re proud to have won or been shortlisted for over 100 national and regional awards in the past two years and even prouder of the difference our teams make every day.

This is a truly unique opportunity to support individuals with complex mental health needs in a purpose-built supported living service. The service includes six self-contained apartments and two short-stay flats, designed to offer independence, dignity, and safety.

The people we support may have diagnoses such as Autism, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, or ADHD, and may present with behaviours of concern. Many have experienced institutional settings in the past—this service offers them a rare and valuable chance to live in a community setting.

You’ll be part of a team that provides active, person-centred support every day. Whether it’s attending church, going to college, enjoying countryside walks, visiting animal rescue centres, or joining virtual cooking classes, you’ll help people live full and meaningful lives.

We follow a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, working proactively to understand and respond to each person’s needs. You’ll receive full training in PBS, as well as opportunities to learn Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and other specialist skills.

Currently, two people live in the service, with more hopefully to join in the future. You’ll be part of a thoughtful and gradual transition process, ensuring every new referral is carefully considered and supported.

This is a role where your compassion, resilience, and creativity will make a lasting impact.

We know that great support starts with great people. That’s why we recruit based on values, not just experience.

You’ll be someone who brings patience and understanding to every interaction, with a deep sense of empathy, compassion, and sensitivity. You’ll be reliable, honest, and determined, with the resilience to support people through both calm and challenging moments. You’ll also have a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for helping people live independently and meaningfully.
