Fixed Term Contract for up to 12 Months
We are looking for a proactive and organised People & Culture Assistant to join our People & Culture team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused HR service, ensuring that our colleagues have a positive and seamless experience throughout their journey with us. You’ll play a key role in supporting administration across talent operations, learning and development, and wider People & Culture activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across the People & Culture function
- Manage pre-employment checks including DBS, references, right to work and occupational health
- Issue contracts and ensure all employment documentation is accurate and up to date
- Maintain and update systems (e.g. Cascade) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Act as a first point of contact for colleague queries, providing timely and professional responses
- Coordinate training activities, including booking courses, managing learning systems, and tracking completion
- Support learning and development administration, including maintaining training records and evaluating feedback
- Assist with organising events and activities across the People & Culture team
- Process purchase orders, invoices and supplier requests in line with financial processes
- Provide general administrative support, including arranging meetings, preparing documentation and managing records
About You
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy across all administrative processes
- A strong communicator, able to build effective working relationships
- Customer-focused, with a proactive and supportive approach
- Discreet and professional, with a clear understanding of confidentiality
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and HR systems
- Excellent communication skills across a variety of platforms
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Resilience and the ability to deal sensitively with a range of situations
- GCSEs/NVQ (or equivalent) or relevant experience
- Flexibility is required to support team activities and events when needed
