Our mission is to create sustainable, thriving neighbourhoods where people feel safe, respected, and connected.
We are looking for a safety compliance professional with an emphasis on Electrical and Lift Safety to ensure that our properties remain fully compliant with regulations through regular servicing and maintenance. Working in a small, friendly team, you’ll manage a number of programmed works, inspections and servicing compliance programmes, ensuring they are completed on time, overseeing and monitoring remedial actions and ensuring that all details are accurately recorded.
With a good understanding of compliance procedures, you will be expected to review and amend processes, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date of any changes. As our Building Safety Compliance Advisor, you will provide technical support and guidance on compliance to stakeholders and monitor and analyse high volumes of compliance data, reporting all necessary information to colleagues, customers and contractors.
With experience in a similar compliance role, you will have knowledge of Electrical and Lift Safety or alternatively have a good understanding of an equivalent compliance area and will hold VRQ Level 2 in Lift Safety Awareness and/or Electrical Safety Awareness and/or Level 2 in Asset and Building Compliance Awareness or equivalent. You’ll have knowledge of contract management and will feel confident liaising with multiple stakeholders. Ideally you will also have knowledge of housing regulations/law and will feel comfortable managing compliance programmes. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence.
If this sounds like you, we would love to talk to you about joining Community Housing and the team in this interesting and rewarding role.
