What we are looking for
- Strong experience at Head Chef or Sous Chef level
- A genuine passion for food and creative cooking
- High standards of food quality and presentation
- Experience developing dishes and menus
- The ability to work well within and lead a kitchen team
- A positive, ambitious and professional approach
- An understanding of what makes a successful village or gastro pub
Flexible working & payment options
We understand that experienced chefs have different preferences when it comes to how they work. We’re flexible and open to discussing the arrangement that works best for the right person, including:
- Annual salary – around £38,000–£45,000 depending on experience
- Hourly rate – for those who prefer a more flexible arrangement
- Self-employed / freelance basis – for chefs looking for greater flexibility
- Fixed-term contracts where appropriate
- Live-in accommodation may also be available.
We're interested in finding the right chef first, then agreeing the working and payment arrangement that works for both sides.
