Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist energy management guidance - acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for the company.
  • Delivering support across the organisation with effective knowledge of energy management, to include reporting compliance, energy audits, energy procurement, and energy efficiency.
  • Monitoring and analysing building energy performance. Identifying and prioritising sites for investigation and advising on best practice initiatives to improve energy efficiency, optimisation and deliver cost and carbon reduction.
  • Providing assurance to the organisation that LIFTCo's/FMCo's deliver their obligations with regards to relevant statutory regulations, contractual obligations, professional guidance, and industry best practice.
  • Providing necessary expertise to review draft technical specifications, energy contracts, and deliverables.
  • Leading engagement with regional and national teams and external partners to embed energy management and energy efficiency culture. Represent CHP externally as required.
  • Responsible for coordination of utility procurement including gas, electricity, water and oil and budget forecasting.
  • Understanding and advising on sector legislation, guidance and priorities e.g. REGO, PPA, Heat Networks.
  • Supporting in development of business cases for energy saving and decarbonisation initiatives.
  • Supporting and contributing to the Securing the Future programme.
  • Providing expertise and support to CHP Property and Operations Directorate relating to energy management and potential asset improvements, planning, and delivery, ensuring efficient and effective replacement of engineering assets is undertaken in accordance with best practice guidance.
  • Directing line management of the Commercial Energy Assessor to ensure the delivery of Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for the building assets within their respective region.

This is a regional role encompassing the Midlands, London and South regions.
