We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administration Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated and enjoys combining strong administrative and financial skills to make a real impact. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of our finance function. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal procedures.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Process Accounts Payable invoices, including inputting and updating invoice records, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving invoice queries.
- Raise Accounts Receivable invoices and credit notes, responding to associated enquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist with cash receipt processing and administer petty cash payments and undertake regular petty cash and daily cash reconciliations.
- Support the Finance Administration Manager with Right to Buy (RTB), Right to Acquire (RTA), and insurance claim administration.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working with finance systems.
- Good knowledge of finance processes – accounts payable and receivable.
- Good knowledge of MS office packages.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work appropriately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
It would be great if you also had:
- Good knowledge of Right to Buy and Acquire process.
- Part AAT qualified.
- Experience of working within social housing.
