Electrical Technician

37 hours per week, based in Preston

£36,924.44 per annum (£19.13ph)

plus ability to earn more via call out and standby

What will you be doing in this role?

You\’ll be part of our Gateway Property Care team, a group of skilled trades people who carry out planned and responsive maintenance to our housing stock.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for someone who shares our values and puts customers and communities at the heart of all they do. You\’ll have the ability to carry out electrical repairs to the current BS7671 18th Edition and complete electrical installation work, i.e., kitchens, bathrooms and rewires. You\’ll inspect and test your work and complete EICRs to our properties. We are happy to support you to achieve your Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing (C&G 2391) and further development.

The main things:

  • You must have or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation including AM2 or equivalent like a C&G 236 Part 1&2 and BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • You\’ll have experience in a range of repairs, maintenance and programmed works with an excellent understanding of health and safety.
  • You\’ll have great communication skills combined with a flexible ‘can do\’ attitude.
  • You\’ll have a full driving licence for manual vehicles as you will be driving one of our CGA vans.
