This position is part-time initially, with the expectation to transition to full-time effective January 1, 2027. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility, equipment, and grounds are maintained in safe, functional, and efficient working conditions. This role supports daily operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and responding to repair needs in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment and facility
  • Respond to maintenance requests and repair issues promptly
  • Maintain warehouse equipment, docks, doors, and safety systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and facility-related problems
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA requirements
  • Maintain maintenance logs, records, and inventory of supplies
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
  • Assist with facility setup, moves, and operational needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment (heat, cold, noise)
