Community Eye Care (CHEC) is looking for an Optical Assistant to join our team in Loughborough, UK. This is a permanent position with 37.5 hours a week.

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optical Assistant to work alongside the clinical team in the day-to-day running of eye care clinics, carrying out diagnostic examinations whilst maintaining high-quality care to all patients.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Assist in the running of pre- and post-operative clinicals
- Act as theatre runner/escort ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care, and our theatre team are assisted during surgery
- Support patients throughout their journey with CHEC and report any concerns
- Ensure all equipment is checked and ready for use
- Prepare all areas prior to any clinical activities
- Adhere to good record keeping and high standards of quality patient care

- Natural ability to empathise with patients and demonstrate a genuine care

- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
