The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park. We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

This is a unique opportunity to take a lead operational role in delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile and nationally significant ceremonials and events, set within London’s most iconic parks.
The Role
As Senior Events & Ceremonials Manager, you will be at the heart of complex, multi-agency operations—leading planning, readiness and on-the-ground delivery. You’ll act as a key operational decision-maker, working closely with partners including government departments, the police and other statutory agencies to ensure safe, seamless and high-quality delivery. With a primary focus on St James’s Park, you will play a critical role in coordinating ceremonial activity while also contributing to a wider programme of major public events. These include:
- Trooping of the Colour
- Remembrance Sunday
- State Occasions
About You
To be considered as a Senior Events and Ceremonials Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience delivering major events or ceremonies in a multi-agency setting
- Strong operational planning and decision-making skills, particularly in live environments
- Experience working with statutory authorities (e.g. police, local authorities)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A solid understanding of event safety, licensing and compliance
- The ability to lead teams, coordinate resources and stay calm under pressure
