We are looking for an experienced Specialist Dental Nurse to support the dental team in the provision of dental care at HMP Norwich.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibility will be to provide clinical support in a wide range of treatments for a male adult client base and assisting the team with all other aspects of running an efficient service for our patients within the prison service.

The postholder will undertake the clinical lead of dental nurses, including training and supervision, within the prison environment. As an official keyholder, you will be required to carry out high level training to each of the dental team and you will be solely responsible for the dental department being locked and secure at all times.

You will require initiative and strong interpersonal and communication skills to enjoy working with this specialist community and to ensure seamless care to patients.

Excellent IT and organisational skills are also an advantage to these positions and candidates should be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and should have competent keyboard skills, knowledge of a dental software package would be an advantage, though training will be given to the successful candidates.

The post holder's base will be HMP Norwich. However, on occasion you may be expected to provide support at other HMP locations, therefore, car users are desirable.
