Hours: 15 hours, 2 days per week

Base: Community Dental Clinic, Addison House, Hamstel Road, Harlow, CM20 1EP

This position is advertised at Band 7; however, individuals without the relevant qualifications will initially be compensated at Band 6 until they are fully operating within the scope of the Band 7 role.

Applications are invited from dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Therapists to join our Community Dental Service team for this post based at our Harlow clinic and to support clinics across Essex as required.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful candidate will provide a wide range of dental treatments, including all extended duties appropriate to their registration, at the request of dentists within the CDS.
  • The post holder will deliver comprehensive dental treatment and preventative care to patients and clients of Community Dental Services, with a focus on supporting children in special educational settings.
  • Essex clinics treat a diverse patient base, including adults, children, individuals with additional needs, phobics, and patients with learning and physical disabilities.
  • You may be required to support other clinics across the county and assist with general anaesthetic, sedation, domiciliary care, screening and epidemiological surveys.
  • As you will be expected to provide support to all clinics across Essex, the ability to visit all bases in the county is essential.
