Experienced female support worker required to care for an 85‑year‑old client with a spinal injury in the Nuneaton area. The role includes personal care, medication management, bladder care, and suprapubic catheter care throughout the week and on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to the client’s needs as required, including:
  • Personal care (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing)
  • Medication administration and management
  • Bladder care and suprapubic catheter care
  • Assistance with mobility and posture due to spinal‑cord injury
  • Work as part of an established care team, maintaining trust and organization

Working Hours

19.5 hours per week with flexibility for additional cover during sickness, annual leave, etc. Current shift pattern:

  • Early Morning: 6:45 am – 9:30 am
  • Daytime: 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (approx.)
  • Sleeping Shift: 7:30 pm – 9:30 am

Pay Rates

  • Mon‑Fri, 7 am–9 pm: £15.50 per hour
  • Sat‑Sun, 7 am–pm: £17.50 per hour
  • Sleeping Nights (10 hours paid):
  • Mon‑Fri: £132.50
  • Sat‑Sun: £142.50
  • Bank Holidays: £25.42 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Female support worker (gender is a genuine occupational requirement).
  • Understanding of spinal‑cord injury.
  • Flexible to cover all day shifts and overnight.
  • Trustworthy, organized, and able to work within a team.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring required; full training will be provided.
