We are looking for a caring, patient and proactive Bank Personal Assistant/Support Worker to support a female client in the Richmond area to live as independently and live as fulfilled life as possible. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical and emotional support, assist with daily living activities, accompany the client to appointments, therapies and social activities, and help implement therapy programmes designed to maximise physical, cognitive and psychological wellbeing. The client enjoys interests such as music, art and theatre, and support will focus on encouraging confidence, communication, independence and community participation. The ideal candidate will have a genuine, compassionate nature, a calm and non-authoritative approach, and be confident using basic IT systems for record keeping and communication. You will be reliable, flexible and willing to learn and follow guidance from therapists and case managers. Previous brain injury/ learning disability experience is essential ; however training and ongoing support will be provided. Requirements:
- Previous brain injury/ learning disability experience is essential
- Experience working with individuals with dementia is desirable but not essential
Working Hours:
This is a bank position
Monday-Sunday 10am-7pm
Rates of Pay:
£16.00 per hour
