  • You will oversee day-to-day operations and the staff team at your assigned property, and support other services as required, including as part of the on-call rota.
  • You will complete regular audits in line with company procedures, identify issues or gaps, and feed back to the staff team and management as appropriate.
  • You will complete relevant resident paperwork and applications (for example welfare, health and DoLS-related documentation) as required.
  • You will act as a key point of contact for families and representatives: respond to enquiries professionally and promptly, keep them appropriately informed and involved, pass concerns to management, and help coordinate visits, activities and holidays.
  • You will support and guide support workers and key workers in carrying out their roles.
  • You will ensure staff receive regular supervision in line with company policy. You may occasionally cover supervisions at other properties. More complex or sensitive issues will be handled by the management team.
  • You will complete and record return-to-work meetings, welfare meetings and other required staff meetings, keeping accurate records and escalating any concerns to the management team.
  • You will support staff competency processes, including medication administration sign-off, in line with company procedures.
  • You will monitor and oversee service user finances, receipts, house/bills funds and bill payments as required, liaising with financial appointees where appropriate.
  • You will promote and review community access and person-centred activity, and plan and allocate support where this is not happening as it should.
  • Before taking leave, you will put suitable cover arrangements in place for the property (including activities, appointments and staffing) and brief the relevant supervisor and management team.
  • You will contribute to regular care plan reviews with the management team and staff.
  • You will assist with recruitment processes, including interviews, as required.
  • You will support the service to meet current CQC requirements and assist with inspections as needed.
  • You will participate in the on-call rota. Cover will normally be aligned with working days where possible, with management backup always available.
  • You may be required to undertake other reasonable duties in line with the supervisor role to support the management team and the wider service. The role may evolve over time to meet the needs of the business.
  • Carry out support worker duties including providing personal care, promoting independence and participating in activities of daily living.

About The Role

As a Supervisor for Community Care Matters, you will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex health needs. You will both deliver hands-on support and oversee the staff team and day-to-day running of your assigned property. Your role is to lead a team that supports service users with all aspects of daily living, promoting independence and ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work as part of the wider team so that people receive high-quality care and can live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.

  • Regulated activity

    You are legally required to inform candidates that this role involves regulated activity before they apply. It is a criminal offence under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 for a barred person to apply for, or offer to do, regulated activity.
