The Children in Care Service operates as a one-service model and includes a range of sub-team specialisms. Social workers are allocated across a diverse caseload, including Children in Care, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), Early Permanence, and Care Leavers. The council is therefore seeking a social worker who is motivated, creative and committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred practice that achieves the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

As a case-holding social worker, the role will involve:

  • Managing a varied caseload
  • Undertaking regular statutory visits and assessments
