Overview
The Fostering Service in Wrexham provides assessment, support, and supervision across a range of fostering and permanence arrangements, including:
- Foster Carers
- Supported Lodgings
- Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs)
- Connected Persons Carers
- Regulation 26 Assessments
Our service is committed to delivering high-quality support to carers and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising, supporting, and developing Social Workers within the team.
- Providing advice, guidance, and management oversight on complex casework.
- Responding promptly to day-to-day operational issues and challenges.
- Supporting the effective functioning and performance of the Fostering Service.
- Ensuring high standards of practice, safeguarding, and service delivery.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Children's Services and partner agencies.
- Participating in the management duty rota, providing duty management cover one day per week.
