About The Role

West Berkshire are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join their West Locality Team on a hybrid working basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Adult Social Care service focused on delivering high-quality, strengths-based interventions to adults with a range of needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will provide a high-quality and effective social work service, responding to adults, carers, and families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines.
  • Duties will include:
  • Safeguarding enquiries and interventions
  • Mental Capacity Assessments
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Assessment and management of risk
  • Continuing Healthcare (CHC) work
  • Completing assessments and support plans in line with Care Act 2024 principles
  • Delivering person-centred, strengths-based social work practice
  • Contributing to strategic and service objectives within Adult Social Care
