We are currently working with a well-established South Coast local authority seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a long-term basis. Working within the MASH Team, you will play a key role in screening contacts and referrals, undertaking threshold decision-making, and working closely with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time. About the Service

You will be joining a dedicated Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub committed to delivering timely and effective safeguarding responses. The service places a strong emphasis on partnership working, information sharing, and high-quality decision-making to ensure children and families receive the most appropriate intervention at the earliest opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess contacts and referrals relating to children and families
  • Undertake threshold decision-making in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Gather, analyse, and evaluate information from partner agencies
  • Identify risk and protective factors to inform safeguarding decisions
  • Work closely with police, health, education, and other statutory partners
  • Make recommendations regarding appropriate interventions and service pathways
  • Complete high-quality assessments, records, and reports
  • Ensure children's voices and lived experiences are central to all decision-making
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and safeguarding planning where required

About You

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Recent experience within a MASH, Referral & Assessment, Front Door, or Safeguarding Team
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and threshold decision-making skills
  • Experience working within a multi-agency environment
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting
