- We are currently recruiting experienced
- Fostering Social Workers to join the dedicated Fostering Team in
Sandwell . This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and foster families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, supervise and support foster carers in line with fostering regulations and national standards.
- Complete annual reviews, fostering assessments and statutory visits.
- Provide ongoing guidance and professional support to foster carers.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, partner agencies and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Contribute to care planning, placement stability and permanency planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working within a Fostering Team.
- Sound knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
