Support Worker is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new service.
Working alongside residential, health and education professionals, you'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
What you'll do
- Build positive, trauma-informed relationships with children, young people, families and professionals.
- Provide high-quality physical, emotional and practical support in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, life skills and personal development.
- Contribute to care plans, maintain accurate records and prepare reports for families and professional agencies.
- Promote safeguarding and wellbeing through effective risk assessment and safe working practices.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care and support plans.
What we're looking for
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or the willingness to achieve this qualification with our support.
- An understanding of child development, safeguarding and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, resilient and child-centred approach.
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
- Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
