Leaders In Care are currently looking for an experienced registered manager to take lead in delivering a Home’s statement of purpose and ensure that each child and young person is provided with a safe, secure and caring home environment. They will ensure that each child and young person is encouraged and inspired to be the best they can in all aspects of their life.

Alongside this you will plan, organise and be responsible for the day to day functioning of a Children’s homeprovided in the area of specialism. Overseeing the delivery of care and/or protection plans for those receiving services; working with children/young people and their families/carers in a specialist area.

This authority are on an improvement journey and trying to open up a few new homes and get them Ofsted regulated

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the home operates in accordance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
  • Provide leadership, management, and support to a team of care professionals.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans that focus on the needs of the young people.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it).
  • A minimum of 2 years\’ experience working in a managerial role within a children’s residential setting.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a commitment to staff development.
  • Thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
