Qualified Social Worker needed for our Safeguarding and Child Protection Team in Keynsham, Bath & North East Somerset, paying £33.92 ph!

About the role

Bath & North East Somerset is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join one of our Safeguarding / Child Protection teams. This role offers a varied caseload, including Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Court work, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise across the full spectrum of statutory social work. You will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families, ensuring timely and effective interventions in line with legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload including CIN, CP, and Court proceedings
  • Undertake assessments, planning, and intervention to safeguard children
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court and statutory meetings
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective outcomes
  • Ensure the child’s voice is central to all practice and decision-making
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant safeguarding experience
  • Confident managing child protection and court work
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report‑writing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and able to meet the demands of a busy frontline service
