Qualified Social Worker needed for our Family Solutions Team in Oxfordshire, paying up to £42 ph!
About The Role: As a Social Worker within Family Solutions Plus, you will manage a caseload appropriate to your level of experience, ensuring that children's voices remain central to all assessments, plans and interventions. The role requires confident assessment and safeguarding practice, including undertaking child and family assessments, completing Section 47 investigations where required, and supporting children subject to Child Protection Plans and Care Proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families in line with Family Solutions Plus practice principles.
- Build effective relationships with children, young people and families to promote positive outcomes.
- Undertake child and family assessments and develop strengths-based plans.
- Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations where necessary.
- Prepare high-quality reports, including Child Protection Conference reports, Court reports and assessments.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
- Ensure children and families are actively involved in assessment, planning and decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records using relevant ICT systems.
- Work within statutory frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Family Solutions Plus model.
- Experience of strengths-based and restorative practice approaches.
- Working knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and the Cycle of Change model.
- Experience chairing professional meetings and facilitating multi-agency discussions.
