Qualified Social Worker needed for our Children's Services in West Sussex paying £38 per hour.
We are currently seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our frontline children’s services team supporting vulnerable children and families across the western area of the county. This is a hybrid role with an expectation that workers will be office-based during duty week. While there is flexibility to work from home, we are ideally seeking candidates who are comfortable working primarily from the office.
About the Role
- Assessing need and risk for vulnerable children and families
- Delivering high-quality assessments and care plans
- Undertaking child protection investigations where appropriate
- Working to prevent family breakdown and improve outcomes for children
- Ensuring children and young people are safeguarded in line with statutory responsibilities and local procedures
Requirements
- Strong assessment and risk identification skills
- Experience undertaking child protection investigations and care planning
- Ability to complete direct work with children and young people to identify needs and improve outcomes
- Strong multi-agency working experience
- A sound understanding of safeguarding policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
