Experienced Social Worker needed for our Adult Social Care team in Flintshire paying £34.31 ph!
Location: Flintshire
Rate: £34.31 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
About the role: Flintshire is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker (Level III) to join one of its frontline services. This is a senior practitioner role, reporting directly to the Team Manager, where you will work independently with complex and high-risk cases. The post holder will demonstrate the ability to adapt practice from first principles, manage uncertainty, and make sound professional judgements — including decisions around safeguarding and compulsory intervention where required. You will work within one defined function and identifiable area of practice, managing your own caseload and contributing to high-quality outcomes for vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a wide range of community care and safeguarding assessments in line with statutory requirements
- Assess and manage risk in complex or unusual cases, including high-risk safeguarding situations
- Develop, implement, monitor, and review person-centred care plans linked to assessed needs and outcomes
- Construct value-for-money care packages, commissioning services to minimise risk and improve quality of life
- Work closely with service users, families, carers, and communities, enabling informed choice and decision-making
- Manage an allocated complex caseload, regularly reviewing changing needs and service effectiveness
- Promote independence, early intervention, and conflict resolution where appropriate
- Liaise with internal departments, health partners, and voluntary agencies to support assessment and care planning
- Act as an advocate for service users and carers
- Maintain accurate records, update case notes, and prepare reports; provide court evidence when required
- Supervise social work students, trainees, support staff, or volunteers where appropriate
