About the Role: We are seeking experienced Qualified Social Workers to join the Adult Community Team in Blackpool, supporting adults aged 18 and over. The team works with individuals experiencing a wide range of complex needs, including disabilities associated with illness or age/frailty, substance misuse issues, domestic abuse concerns and complex social care needs. Please note, this service does not cover specialist Learning Disability, Autism, or Mental Health services. Blackpool is one of the most deprived areas in England, and the needs of the local population reflect this. We are therefore looking for resilient, experienced practitioners who can work effectively within a fast-paced and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing new incoming referrals
- Undertaking Care Act Assessments and reviews
- Completing safeguarding enquiries and related work
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and internal teams
- Supporting adults to achieve positive outcomes and maintain independence
As there is no separate safeguarding team, social workers within the service will also undertake safeguarding responsibilities. Full induction and ongoing support will be provided.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Previous experience within Adult Social Care
- Ability to manage complex casework within a community setting
- Strong assessment and safeguarding experience preferred
