The Richmond Mental Health Social Care team is recruiting a full-time Social Worker. We work with adults aged 18-75 with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses to meet their social care needs. Our team is separate from the clinical community mental health team, focusing on social care excellence. The position offers hybrid working, combining home-based tasks with office days for duty and mandatory team meetings. The office is located at Twickenham Civic Centre, a convenient 20-minute train ride from Clapham Junction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex cases and engage in Care Act assessments and reviews.
- Mental Capacity and Carers assessments.
- Safeguarding/s42 enquiries.
- Mental Health tribunal social circumstance reports.
- Strength-based practice and working on the Duty rota.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience.
- Proven experience holding a caseload and managing complex cases.
- Social Work England registration.
- A commitment to supporting service users with severe mental health needs.
