Independent Reviewing Officer/ CP Chair – Looked After Team
We are looking for an Independent Reviewing Officer/ CP Chair to join our Looked After Team. This role requires a Social Work qualification with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in permanent contracts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the quality of care for children who are in the care of the local authority.
- Attend and contribute to children’s review meetings to ensure individual needs are met.
- Assess care plans and determine whether the current plan remains the best route for the child.
- Act as a safeguard for the child, ensuring the child’s voice is heard and considered in decision-making.
Qualifications and requirements
- Social Work qualification with a minimum of three years experience in children’s social work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW).
- A strong understanding of child protection laws and care regulations, with experience working with children in care.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
