About The Role:
North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Service. As a Social Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality statutory social work practice to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families. These roles are primarily office-based in Grimsby, with some degree of flexibility. Social Work practice is highly valued across the service and supported by skilled, knowledgeable, and caring leaders and managers who are committed to helping practitioners thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake timely and high-quality assessments of children and families
- Formulate, implement, and review effective care plans
- Manage a varied caseload within statutory Children’s Services
- Prepare reports and attend court proceedings where required
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Ensure all practice aligns with statutory guidance, departmental policies, and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- Experience carrying out timely assessments using practice guidance and departmental procedures
- Experience formulating, implementing, and reviewing care plans
- Experience working within a statutory Children’s Services setting
- Strong analytical, assessment, and court report writing skills
- A passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and families
