Location: Forest of Dean
Pay Rate: £42 per hour
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Forest of Dean Children & Families Team, working with children and families to deliver effective, evidence-based interventions that make a real difference.
About the Role
- Hold a manageable caseload of around 18 children, with a mix of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases.
- Undertake court work where required, ensuring high-quality assessments, reports, and interventions.
- Deliver timely, impactful, and child-centred practice, with a strong focus on outcomes.
- Ensure all children are seen face to face, in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
What we are looking for
- Qualified and experienced Children’s Social Worker.
- Strong experience across CIN, CP, and CIC work.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of practice.
- Commitment to collaborative working and positive outcomes for children and families.
