About the Role
Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding (FS) team covering Stevenage North and North Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a progressive and supportive service committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
You will work within a dynamic safeguarding team, using a strengths-based and relationship-focused approach to support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring high-quality assessments, planning, and interventions.
- Undertake Section 47 enquiries, Child in Need, and Child Protection work.
- Develop and implement care plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, and police.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records.
About You
- Qualified Social Worker with current professional registration.
- Experience within Children’s Services, particularly in safeguarding or family support.
- Strong assessment and risk management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
