About the role
As a Social Worker within MASH, you will be responsible for assessing, analysing, and responding to safeguarding concerns. Working closely with partner agencies, you will gather and evaluate information to make timely, informed decisions that protect children and support families. You will play a key role in identifying risk, determining appropriate interventions, and ensuring children receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and assess safeguarding referrals and contacts
- Analyse information from multiple agencies to assess risk and need
- Make evidence‑based decisions regarding appropriate interventions
- Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other partners
- Apply professional judgment to complex safeguarding situations
- Promote positive outcomes for children through effective information sharing and decision‑making

Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within a MASH, Front Door, Assessment, or Safeguarding service
- Strong risk assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to triangulate information from multiple sources and make sound decisions
- Professional curiosity and confident decision‑making abilities
- Understanding of the Continuum of Need and Early Help frameworks
- Knowledge and/or practical experience of Signs of Safety
- Excellent communication and partnership‑working skills
