About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care service in Hounslow.
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a practitioner confident in managing complex safeguarding concerns, legal frameworks, and Court of Protection-related work.
You will be working with residents experiencing complex life circumstances, ensuring that safeguarding, legal processes, and support planning are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an allocated caseload of complex adult social care cases.
- Work on Section 21A challenges and Court of Protection cases.
- Lead and contribute to safeguarding enquiries and risk management planning.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, external professionals, and partner agencies.
- Present cases at panels, funding forums, and multi-agency decision-making meetings where required.
- Participate in a duty rota, responding to urgent safeguarding and assessment needs.
- Ensure all case recording and assessments are completed accurately and within statutory timescales.
- Support residents with complex needs, ensuring person-centred and strengths-based practice.
Requirements
- Current Social Work England registration and a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Experience in Section 21A challenges and/or Court of Protection work.
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
