About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join the Intake Team within Children’s Services in Hounslow. This is a key front-line role, working at the point of contact to ensure timely decision-making and appropriate support for children and families. You will be part of a busy and supportive team responsible for screening, assessing, and progressing referrals to ensure children receive the right level of intervention at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children.
- Undertake timely screening, assessments, and decision-making at the front door of services.
- Progress referrals appropriately in line with thresholds and safeguarding procedures.
- Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and internal teams to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records using the LCS system.
- Participate in duty weeks and support front-line decision-making.
- Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements and safeguarding standards.
Requirements:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Knowledge and experience of using LCS (Liquidlogic Children’s System).
