EHCP Co‑Ordinator – Hertfordshire Council – £300 per day
Support Section B, F and I mediation activity for school‑aged children and will be critical in strengthening our capacity to manage increasing demand and ensure timely, high‑quality engagement with families.
Responsibilities
- Preparing for mediation meetings, including reviewing EHC plans, case history, and the Local Authority position.
- Liaising with families and professionals ahead of mediation to clarify issues in dispute.
- Attending and leading mediation meetings with families, ensuring a clear and professional representation of the Local Authority.
- Recording outcomes and agreed actions following mediation.
- Working closely with casework teams to ensure any agreed amendments or actions are progressed promptly.
- Supporting consistency in LA responses and learning across mediation cases.
Qualifications
- Strong statutory SEND knowledge and experience.
- A thorough understanding of Education, Health and Care Plan processes.
- Experience representing Local Authorities within mediation proceedings.
- Previous SEND mediation experience.
