Location: Leicester City (Hybrid – office, home, and local children’s centres)
Salary: £42,839 – £46,142 per annum
Relocation/Sponsorship: Standard relocation package available (must relocate within 20 miles of the Leicester Clock Tower).
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Social Worker with strong Court and Front Door experience to join our Single Assessment Team (SAT) in Leicester.
Our SAT comprises three teams, each with six Social Workers (ranging from ASYE to Level 3) and led by three supportive Team Managers. This is a hybrid role, offering both home-based and office-based working, with dedicated days in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake high-quality single assessments of children and families.
- Participate in the duty rota every three weeks, dealing with urgent safeguarding matters including strategy discussions and Section 47 enquiries.
- Ensure availability in the Leicester area during duty week to provide an effective response to immediate safeguarding concerns.
- Work collaboratively with Leicester Early Help, MST, and partner agencies to deliver effective interventions for children and families.
- Prepare and present cases for court proceedings where required.
- Contribute to a supportive, close-knit team culture where colleagues and managers value and encourage each other.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
- Experience at Level 3 (or equivalent senior practitioner level).
- Proven background in Court work and Front Door services.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge, with experience in undertaking assessments, strategy discussions, and S47 enquiries.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office presence, home-based tasks, and local community engagement.
- Commitment to being based in the Leicester area during duty weeks.
