Community Mental Health Social Worker | Cardiff | Up to £35 per hour Umbrella

Pay: Up to £35 per hour Umbrella

Hours: Full Time | 37 hours per week

Base: Links CMHT, 1st Floor, Cardiff Royal Infirmary, Cardiff, CF24 0SZ

Hoop Social Work is delighted to be working with Cardiff Council to recruit an experienced Community Mental Health Social Worker to join their well-established Community Mental Health Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who enjoys working in a fast-paced, person-centred environment, supporting adults with complex mental health needs to maximise their independence and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

  • Complete strengths-based assessments and care planning.
  • Assess, commission and review care and support packages.
  • Work within current legislation, policy and statutory guidance.
  • Undertake planned interventions to promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Safeguard adults who may be at risk or vulnerable.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals and partner agencies to deliver effective multi-agency support.
  • Empower individuals to have choice, control and a strong voice in decisions affecting their lives.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality services across the city.

To apply, you'll need:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
  • At least 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Three years of satisfactory references.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Please note: Due to the nature of this position, we can only consider applicants who hold a recognised Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Care Wales or Social Work England. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role.
