What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Conduct statutory visits, comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews in alignment with current legislation.

- Create detailed assessments, factual reports, and court documents as necessitated by case requirements.

- Mentor, coach, and offer practice support to fellow social workers, newly qualified staff, and students.
- Take a proactive role in leading complex safeguarding, permanence, and care planning issues.

Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience within Children’s Services, particularly Children in Care (CIC).
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and make informed decisions in challenging situations.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting less experienced social workers and students.
- Strong knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning processes.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills.
