About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager to lead our Fostering Recruitment & Support Team. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the recruitment of high-quality foster carers while ensuring robust support systems are in place to enable them to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Fostering Recruitment & Support Team Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit and retain foster carers
- Oversee the assessment and approval process for prospective carers
- Ensure foster carers receive high-quality supervision, guidance, and support
- Monitor team performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for children
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
- Experience within Fostering or Children’s Social Care
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding procedures, and statutory frameworks
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
- Excellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skills
- Strong communication and partnership working abilities
