Advanced Social Worker needed for Disabled Children's Service in North Devon, paying £42 per hour!
Location: North Devon
Salary: £42 per hour
Hours: Full-Time / Temporary
Additional Allowance: £150 per week accommodation/commuter allowance available for eligible candidates.
About the role:
As an Advanced Social Worker, you will work closely with the Team Manager to provide professional leadership, guidance, and supervision to colleagues across the team. You will support the day-to-day operation of the service while contributing to the delivery of effective, efficient, and high-quality social work practice. You will play a lead role in promoting evidence-based practice, supporting colleagues' professional development, and driving continuous improvement across the service. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of approximately three days per week office‑based at Springfield Court, alongside homeworking arrangements that can be discussed further at interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership and practice support within the team.
- Support the Team Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service.
- Work directly with disabled children, young people, and families with complex needs.
- Promote and embed evidence-based social work practice.
- Mentor, coach, and support colleagues, students, and less experienced practitioners.
- Deliver on-the-job learning and contribute to workforce development.
- Lead practice improvement initiatives and support quality assurance activities.
- Work effectively within multi-agency partnerships to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
