About the Role
To support the Department in fulfilling its statutory responsibilities effectively and efficiently. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality social work service for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, ensuring safe, lawful, and person-centred practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake mental health social work interventions in line with legislation and policy
- Carry out assessments under the Mental Health Act and Care Act 2014
- Provide social work support to adults with mental health needs in the community
- Participate in safeguarding enquiries and risk management
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, service users, carers, and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports
- Where qualified, undertake duties as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
