We’re looking for a passionate Employability Trainer who thrives on motivating others and making a genuine difference. In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver dynamic, high quality training both in the classroom and online, empowering participants with the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to secure sustainable employment.

Your sessions will be engaging, practical, and learner focused covering everything from interview success and impactful job applications to recognising and articulating transferable skills. You’ll bring learning to life through creative, high impact activities such as mock interviews, employer informed workshops, and sector specific preparation that reflects real-world opportunities. Beyond delivery, you’ll actively support learners to develop and achieve meaningful action plans, tailoring your approach to overcome individual barriers.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, you’ll help promote training opportunities, share best practice, and ensure every participant receives the right support at the right time. Quality, compliance, and safeguarding will sit at the heart of your work, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all.

You’ll have experience in employability, personal development, or skills training, with the confidence to deliver engaging sessions both face-to-face and virtually. Strong digital capability, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are essential. Most importantly, you’ll be motivated by helping people move forward and achieve lasting change.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £26,000 - £29,545 p.a. /pro rata (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent understanding of the barriers unemployed job seekers face when seeking employment
  • Knowledge of the employability sector and the delivery of employability skills and personal development programmes
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training both face-to-face and remotely using a range of digital platforms
  • Demonstrated use of motivational techniques to support individual growth and development
  • Strong IT capability using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft 365 applications and digital tools such as Microsoft Teams

Desirable

  • Background of working within a high-performance, target-focused environment
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTLLS) or Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (formerly CTLLS)
  • Track record of delivering provision in line with contractual requirements and quality standards
  • Ability to analyse and report on training needs and delivery through IT systems
  • Full driving licence

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality employability training that supports Participant progression
  • Adapt training methods to meet individual and group needs
  • Identify new training needs and contribute to the development of new provision
  • Meet performance targets and all quality and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with the wider training team to deliver mock interviews and work-readiness activities
  • Work with Employer Relationship Teams to deliver employer-led events and sector-based training
  • Prepare Participants for specific employment opportunities through responsive training solutions
  • Promote training courses and support Employment Advisers with Participant action plans
  • Use appropriate digital technologies to ensure safe, confidential delivery
  • Design and deliver train-the-trainer and corporate training where required
  • Maintain accurate, compliant training records and complete risk assessments as needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement, self-evaluation, and peer observations
  • Act as an employee owner, championing best practice and company values
  • Work flexibly, including travel, and take responsibility for own professional development
  • Adhere to all company policies including safeguarding, Prevent, data protection, EDI, health & safety, and IT
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role
