My client is a top tier energy trading firm based in central London. They are looking for a platform engineering infrastructure engineer. Collaborating with Development and Operational teams on producing solid implementations to drive change and improvements. As a platform operations engineer, you will help drive and deliver their modern infrastructure and best practises. Their strategy is to take advantage of cloud services to enhance their end product, you will help to drive this strategy, working closely with the stakeholders on new application architectures and streamlining their deployment processes. Responsible for the day to day installation, configuration, management and monitoring of the server infrastructure, and the installation, configuration and maintenance of physical Microsoft clusters (Windows Server 2016 and later), Linux (Ubuntu) and VMware (ESXi 7x) based virtual & physical servers. Management and monitoring of the multi-forest active directory and physical hardware support. Monitor the enterprise environment managing performance and capacity highlighting any issues To provide 2nd and 3rd line support at the required service levels for all IT enterprise solutions that are within this portfolio in line with the infrastructure services technical support strategy.
