Communigrow is a food education charity in Kent. We teach how to grow food using sustainable growing methods and the therapeutic benefits of gardening, to bring about positive change to physical and mental wellbeing.
As a trustee you will take the lead role in shaping our fundraising strategy and guide and support the charity's income generation activities. As a board member you will help to shape our work and strategic direction, achieve our objectives, play a vital part in the strategic leadership and strong governance of the charity, and help us to formulate our vision for the future.
We are looking for a trustee with knowledge and experience of:
- Developing fundraising strategies who can provide guidance and insight on fundraising trends, opportunities, risks and controls
- Diverse fundraising practices, including statutory funds, grants, corporate and philanthropic giving
- Grant fundraising and income generation activities
- Monitor the effectiveness and compliance of fundraising activities
To help and support this growth and development, we are looking for a fundraising trustee with knowledge of diverse fundraising practices (statutory funds, corporate and philanthropic giving) and grant fundraising and income generation experience. UK charity sector experience is preferable but a previous trustee role is not essential.
