We are now seeking an exceptional Group Commercial Director to lead our regional revenue commercial strategy and sales performance across the North East, North West, Yorkshire, East Midlands, North & Mid Wales, South Wales and Hertfordshire. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a critical senior leadership role with responsibility for leading and developing multiple commercial teams, driving revenue growth across all markets and creating a high-performance culture that consistently delivers outstanding results.

The Role
As Group Commercial Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple regional markets, ensuring all commercial teams are aligned and strongly engaged with a clear vision, strong performance culture and ambitious growth agenda. You will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape and deliver the commercial strategy for Communicorp UK, maximising revenue opportunities across our market-leading brands and multi-platform offering. You will be responsible for creating an environment where accountability, energy, collaboration and execution are embedded across every market and every team. This is not a role for someone who simply manages performance. We are looking for a transformational leader who can raise standards, challenge thinking, develop talent and inspire people to achieve more than they thought possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire commercial teams across multiple regions, creating a high-performance culture focused on ambition, accountability and delivery.
- Develop and execute a clear commercial growth strategy aligned to wider business objectives and market opportunities.
- Deliver strong revenue growth across all markets through effective leadership, strategic planning and disciplined execution.
- Build momentum and energy across the business, ensuring teams remain engaged, motivated, focused and commercially competitive.
- Coach, develop and challenge Commercial Directors and senior sales leaders to maximise team performance and individual capability.
- Create a winning and positive culture where high standards, pace and accountability are expected at every level of the business.
- Identify and unlock new commercial opportunities across broadcast, digital, partnerships, events and multi-platform solutions.
- Work closely with programming, marketing and operational leaders to ensure commercial objectives are aligned with audience growth and brand strategy.
- Lead major client and agency relationships, acting as a senior ambassador for Communicorp UK across the industry.
- Use strong commercial judgement and leadership edge to make difficult decisions confidently and effectively when required.
- Drive consistency, collaboration and best practice across all regions while recognising and responding to local market opportunities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive media landscape and proactively adapt commercial strategies to maximise market share and growth.
