We are seeking exceptionally talented Commercial Managers who believe they have what it takes to be successful in supporting our Commercial Director in our ambitious team at Smooth North West. Applicants should have a proven track record, understand the competitive media landscape, have the ability to work in a highly demanding team environment and previous management or team leader experience. This is not a role for a low energy sales plodder looking for their next job. It is essential that you can display a deep desire to succeed in a competitive, target driven, sales environment. Your Commercial Director should be able to trust you to operate with integrity, bravery and passion at all times and colleagues should see you as an example of what outstanding performance looks like.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Commercial Director to manage and inspire our local Account Management Team, form great relationships with our customers and help them to engage with the Smooth North West listeners.
- Wow our big spenders with bespoke marketing solutions and be an excellent closer, negotiating competitive deals to maximise long term customer service.
- Be responsible for seeking out new business opportunities across our extended product portfolio.
- Manage customer relations, ensuring we listen to what our clients have to say and have the courage to challenge the boundaries of what they want.
- Deliver inspirational presentations and maximise the multi‑media platforms we have at our disposal when creating solutions for clients.
- Manage and support your team from the very first stages of joining right through to monitoring performance and holding development reviews.
Experience
- Smart, bold and engaging and be able to display our company values in the work you do; Bravery, Integrity and Passion.
- Passionate about radio and have sales experience in media.
- Natural leader & coach to your sales team.
- Strong relationships in the industry.
