Role Overview
To lead a team of HSW professionals providing support and guidance to operational teams to deliver and comply with project and CWA HSW goals and objectives throughout the pre‑construction, construction, and post‑construction process, ensuring all legal obligations are met. To provide a high level of support to the operational teams to enable the safe delivery of work. To work closely with the HSW Director providing tactical support and HSW data and feedback from the work stream. This role will be assigned to the Enabling and Earthworks stream essential in helping us achieve the JO project milestone.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams.
- Apply technical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations and guidance.
- Work on Major Infrastructure Projects.
- Provide leadership and support to operational and functional teams at a senior level.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Influence and promote a positive HSW culture by providing constructive feedback.
- Engage at all levels within the CWA operational team structure.
- Investigate accidents and incidents.
- Use data and information for HSW report preparation.
- Have CSCS Manager competence.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (or working towards).
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
