We are seeking a Soft Systems (Strategy & Transformation) Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of the organisation’s soft systems programme. Working closely with the Soft Systems Project Manager, this role will help drive the development, integration, and optimisation of key soft systems, processes, and transformation initiatives. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their project management capability in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.

Given the scale and sophistication of the soft systems programme, it also offers experienced professionals the opportunity to further develop and refine their skills while contributing to the successful deployment of essential organisational systems and processes. You will play a central role in shaping delivery plans, coordinating workstreams, tracking progress, analysing data, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the Strategy & Transformation function.

  • Project Management
    • Support the development and maintenance of delivery plans for a range of soft systems and transformation projects, including timelines, milestones and risks.
    • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to support the design, development and implementation of soft systems activities.
    • Organise and manage logistics for a variety of alliance cultural events, ensuring their successful planning and delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders across Strategy, Operations, HR, Digital and other functions.
    • Build strong relationships to support collaboration, decision‑making and alignment across workstreams.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks and interdependencies.
  • Resource Management
    • Monitor resource utilisation and support planning to ensure workstream efficiency.
    • Identify resource gaps or constraints and support escalation or mitigation where required.
    • Assist in risk identification relating to capability, capacity or allocation.
  • Performance Monitoring And Reporting
    • Maintain dashboards, trackers and reporting tools to ensure clear visibility of progress and performance.
    • Support collection and analysis of project data to generate insights and inform decision‑making.
    • Track delivery progress against milestones and support the identification of variances or emerging risks.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Promote a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement across the programme.
    • Implement best practices in project management, process design and organisational transformation.
    • Support lessons‑learned activities and contribute to improving future planning and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Holds or working towards a qualification (BSc/MSc) in management, business, transformation or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Holds or working towards APM PFQ/PMQ (or equivalent project management certification).

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Good analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Experience in complex or multi‑stakeholder environments (desirable).
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; dashboard experience (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is advantageous.
